Graphic Designer

Job summary:

The Graphic Design position at VP Demand Creation Services is primarily responsible for  managing the creation of multiple publications for association clients and consumers (approximately 70% of the work); in addition to supporting internal staff with the design of sales pieces, brochures, promotional pieces, and other various marketing materials; designing various jobs for food service clients and other commercial businesses; and the opportunity for a variety of website design processes in the Word Press platform. This design position is highly production-oriented graphic design, with the responsibility for many pages and magazine issues that must meet many deadlines.

Essential Job Functions:

Design and layout; photo editing; ad creation; working with type; extensive internal and external client communication

Minimum Requirements:

2- or 4-year degree in Graphic Design; experience with publication or book design preferred

Abilities Required:

  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Highly organized with attention to detail in order to satisfactorily meet multiple deadlines.
  3. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software package – InDesign, PhotoShop, etc – a requirement.
  4. Exceptional skills in verbal/written communication; multi-tasking (working, sometimes, on several different publications at once); working as a member of a team with other designers, editors, and advertising sales reps; and the ability to manage and adapt to high-stress situations and implement creative solutions.
  5. Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjustment to the work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
  6. Work with less-than-first-rate materials to turn out a superior product.
  7. Assimilate critiques and comments from multiple sources to generate multiple proofs and implement continuous improvement.

Marketing Analyst - Full Time

Job summary:

Responsible for studying market conditions to assess the potential sales of products and services. Duties include forecasting and monitoring sales trends, gathering consumer and competitor data, preparing reports for management and utilizing statistical software for data analysis. Potential candidate must have excellent analytical skills, as their duties consist of studying and assessing large amounts of data. Critical thinking and communication skills are also essential for communicating with management regularly to devise solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable
  • Devise and assess procedures and methods for data collection, including surveys and questionnaires
  • Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition
  • Conduct research regarding marketing strategies and consumer opinions
  • Track and forecast trends in sales and marketing, and analyze in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports and results
  • Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing department to develop appropriate sales strategies

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask well
  • Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in market research
