Graphic Designer

Job summary:
The Graphic Design position at VP Demand Creation Services is primarily responsible for managing the creation of multiple publications for association clients and consumers (approximately 65% of the work); in addition to supporting internal marketing staff with the design of sales pieces, brochures, promotional pieces, and other various marketing materials; designing various jobs for food service clients and other businesses; and the opportunity for a variety of website design processes in the Word Press platform. This design position is highly production-oriented graphic design, with the responsibility for many pages and magazine issues that must meet many deadlines.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and layout; photo editing; ad creation; working with type; extensive internal and external client communication

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2- or 4-year degree in Graphic Design; experience with publication or book design preferred

Abilities Required:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environments.
  • High organized with attention to detail in order to satisfactorily meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software package – InDesign, PhotoShop, etc – a requirement.
  • Exceptional skills in verbal/written communication; multi-tasking (working, sometimes, on several different publications at once); working as a member of a team with other designers, editors, and advertising sales reps; and the ability to manage and adapt to high-stress situations and implement creative solutions.
  • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjustment to the work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
  • Work with less-than-first-rate materials to turn out a superior product.
  • Assimilate critiques and comments from multiple sources to generate multiple proofs

Press Operator Assistant – 2nd Shift

  • Set up and operation of 8 color press
  • material handling
  • inventory management
  • Some lifting involved
  • operation of various types of powered equipment.
  • Maintenance and paper work will be part of daily duties

Candidate will be required to obtain the forklift training and licensing, which we will provide. Mechanical aptitude and computer skills a must. Candidate should be detail oriented, reliable, and have a strong work ethic. Willing to train the right candidate.

Second shift hours are Monday-Thursday 3:00pm – 1:30 am, 10 hour shifts. Some overtime may be required occasionally.

Fulfillment/Inventory Associate:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process fulfillment orders (pick, pack and ship) using UPS and FedEx programs
  • Perform cycle-counts
  • Manage item/warehouse locations and process receives
  • WWork as part of a team with great attention to detail and some heavy lifting.

Desired experience: shipping with UPS and FedEx software, forklift and inventory management.
